LEC

LEC: Lines Equivalents Call Center. A way of calculating the number of individual telephone circuits (or other communication channels such as fax, email, or chat) that are necessary to support a given number of agents or customers. LEC is calculated by multiplying the number of agents or customers by the average number of simultaneous calls per agent (for customer service positions) or per customer phone call (for sales and telemarketing positions).
