A Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a member of the contact center team whose primary role is to handle inbound calls, emails, chat support and social media queries from customers. They interpret customer needs and then determine if the customer has an existing account with the company or needs to create a new one. Depending on the nature of the customer query, CSRs are also responsible for billing, shipping and other service-related tasks.
